Illegal Swim

swimmingOn October 10, 2002, I overheard a woman telling a story that I thought would make interesting fiction.

Apparently someone had called her at work to let her know someone was in her back yard swimming in her pool. No one was supposed to be there, so she called the police. It turned out to be her son and his friends playing hooky from school.

Her son’s friends begged her not to tell their parents. She agreed on the condition that they never swim in her pool without her there again, otherwise their parents would get a visit and learn about the incident.
